University of Connecticut University of UC Title Fallback Connecticut

A Message From The Timeline Team

Alumni, emeriti, and friends of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut:

We intend this timeline to be part of an ongoing history of the School in digital format. We value your feedback highly, and consider it very important to the success/future of this project.

We hope to link some events as covered by the University’s UConn Today, and other web publications to cover events since 2010, and to keep it current.

If you have additional photos or original documents relevant to an event included in the timeline, or if you would like to propose a new event prior to 2010, please contact the Dean’s Office at 860-486-3016.

If at all possible, and for the quickest consideration for inclusion, please covert/scan original images or documents into one of the following formats: .jpg, .png, .gif. The .tif format is also acceptable, but will be converted to one of the other formats before being used. Please send these to Joe as one or more attachments to an email. For each event you propose, please format information about the event as a Word or .txt document, or as part of the body of your e-mail. Include a date, propose a title (seen in the timeline as larger text identifying the event), description (seen in smaller text below the title), caption(s) for any image(s), and credit(s) for photo(s). If you find corrections that need to be made, please send a description in an e-mail.

While it will likely not be possible to include in the timeline all content submitted, we plan to archive all digital submissions. We hope, in the not too distant future, to make available to the public as much of the digitally formatted historical information we have collected as possible.

Many thanks for your support of this project, particularly to all who have helped us get to this point. For a more formal expression of our thanks, please click on “Acknowledgments” at the home page. –Robert McDonald, Professor Emeritus, Department of Dramatic Arts and Joseph W. Scott, Music Catalog/Metadata Librarian, University Libraries, retired.
